Dr. Brady Michel, CSU alumnus and biological sciences and STEM faculty for MCC, introduced a group of scientists, including CSU researchers Dr. Mark Zabel, Dr. Danielle Adney and Dr. Anna Fagre, to lead the nearly two-hour long discussion about the virus.
Currently, UCHealth Northern Colorado “is very well positioned” on ventilators thanks to partners, like CSU’s veterinary hospital, that have loaned supplies.
Today’s Veterinary Business spoke with two experts at the forefront of CBD knowledge in the veterinary world: Stephanie McGrath, DVM, Ph.D., CSU assistant professor of neurology and Gail Golab, DVM, Ph.D., MANZCVS, DACAW, chief veterinary officer at the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Veterinarians who specialize in respiratory problems in animals are also repurposing or donating ventilators with advanced technology for human use in hospitals. Dr. Tim Hackett is “happy to see them helping where they can.”
