In January, the Dumb Friends League will open a new veterinary hospital on the CSU Spur campus at the National Western Center in north Denver. It is the first veterinary hospital in the nation to put medical care for pets on full display for visitors. Nearly 100 CSU veterinary students will train each year with the Dumb Friends League.
Spur is focused entirely on public education, research, and community outreach. And its programs center on food, water, and animal and human health.
Colorado State University and the National Western Stock Show have partnered since 1906 to boost education about food and agriculture. Now they enter a new era with the opening of CSU Spur at the National Western Center.
