A veterinarian — and Colorado State University alumnus — once billed "ridiculously hot" by Buzzfeed and "America's sexiest veterinarian" by Forbes is moving on up to Animal Planet.

Dr. Evan Antin, a 2013 graduate of CSU's College of Veterinary Medicine, will star in one of the network's newest shows, "Evan Goes Wild," premiering at 7 p.m. Mountain time Sunday.

The show will follow Antin around the world as he travels and treats animals in exotic locations, checking items off of his "wildlife bucket list," an Animal Planet news release stated.

Antin found internet fame in 2016, when — after regularly posting cute patient pictures to Instagram and videos to his YouTube channel — Buzzfeed took notice of the California-based veterinarian.

"People Are Going Nuts Over This Ridiculously Hot Veterinarian," the news site's headline read, accompanying a story about Antin's growing social media presence.

"It's been the most exciting thing ever to basically go viral," Antin wrote in an email to the Coloradoan at the time. "I hoped one day it may happen, but did not think it would be over such a short time."

Since getting noticed, Antin — a Kansas City native — was named People Magazine's resident veterinarian and graced the pages of the magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" issues in 2016 and 2017.

Antin will leave behind his Los Angeles-based clinic in the eight episodes of "Evan Goes Wild," according to Animal Planet. The show will feature him swimming alongside humpback whales in Tahiti, exploring caves in the Philippines and tangling with crocodiles in the Yucatan.
