World, meet Endo the incredible jumping dog.

The 6-year-old black Labrador retriever gained attention across the globe after a video of him jumping before an appointment at the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital went viral last month.

Endo's owner, Martha Tissot, brought him to the hospital after part of a foxtail plant became lodged in his ear. Though he was about to be anesthetized to get the piece removed, he remained chipper enough to bounce up and down beside Tissot at the hospital's check-in counter.

"He's always in good spirits," Tissot said with a laugh.

Someone at the hospital captured the moment on video. It was posted separately to Facebook pages for the teaching hospital and CSU's College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

It went viral on both pages, garnering more than 300,000 combined views as of Friday and catching the attention of the Associated Press, CBS This Morning and news sites in Australia, Taiwan and Japan.

Tissot, who admittedly isn't too social media savvy, said her friends and daughter kept her updated on Endo's sudden fame, as the video spread across the world.

Tissot lives in Fort Collins with her husband, Howard Seim, who works as a veterinarian at the teaching hospital, and Endo.

"Our whole family got a big kick out of it over Christmas," Tissot said.

Endo was bred as a field trial dog, meaning he was trained to compete in hunting dog events. Though Tissot said Endo doesn't really compete, he's still retained the high energy and athleticism known for field trial dogs.

As a result, he's often jumping, especially when he's happy, Tissot said.

In response to Endo's viral moment, Tissot's daughter helped her create an Instagram page for the family's new star. It's fittingly follows the adventures of "Endo the Jumping Dog," Fort Collins' newest famous Fido.
