Morgan Community College (MCC) welcomes Kimberly Berning as MCC’s new Psychiatric Nursing Faculty and Dr. Brady Michel as MCC’s new Biological Sciences-Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Faculty.

Berning received her Master of Science in Nursing from Minnesota State University-Moorhead and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minot State University. She is most recently from North Dakota, where she was employed with United Tribes Technical College as a nursing faculty member.

“The psychiatric nursing expertise Kimberly brings will further enrich the high quality of education offered in MCC’s Nursing Program,” shared MCC President Dr. Curt Freed. “We are delighted to welcome her to the MCC family.”

Dr. Michel earned a Ph.D. of Science in Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Zoology from Colorado State University. He received his Associates of Arts and Science from Northeastern Junior College. Dr. Michel has been working for MCC as an adjunct instructor since May, and was recently named Adjunct Faculty of the Year.

“We are excited to have Brady join MCC’s faculty full-time,” Dr. Freed added. “Brady, along with our existing cadre of highly qualified STEM faculty, will help facilitate a planned expansion in STEM education at MCC.”
