Dr. Nicholas Booth, 98, passed away on March 28, 2022. He began teaching at Colorado State (then called Colorado A&M) in 1947, and was dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences from 1966 to 1971.

He went on to be the director of the FDA Veterinary Medical Research division from 1971-1974. He retired in 1985 after 11 years as a University of Georgia pharmacology professor and researcher.
In 2010, CSU named Booth Road, which is to the east of the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital, for him. He was named a CSU distinguished alumnus in 2017.
His family will host a memorial service and lunch at 11 a.m. Friday, June 24, at the Poudre Canyon Chapel, 33685 Poudre Canyon Road, Bellvue, CO 80512.
He requested that contributions and/or memorials be made to the CSU Pharmacology Enhancement Fund*, or to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
