The James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital entrance at 300 W. Drake Road will be closed for construction starting Monday, June 13.

There will be “road closed ahead” signs to alert eastbound and westbound Drake Road traffic. A digital message board will be placed at the main entrance and a second digital message board at the northeast corner of the Drake/Research Boulevard intersection.

Reflective orange detour signs will be placed at the corner of Research and the parking lot entrance that cuts through the tennis courts to guide traffic either through the parking lot or continuing to Center Avenue, with signage to turn onto Phemister. The option to continue to Center provides better access to Johnson Family Equine Hospital/Equine Performance Analysis Facility for trucks with trailers/goosenecks because the transition from the parking lot road to Gillette is fairly steep.

A third digital message board will be placed at the parking lot road/Gillette Road (on the east side of Gillette) directing traffic right for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Translational Medicine Institute and Diagnostic Medicine Center and left for equine services.
