Professor Richard Bowen awarded the AVMA 2020 Lifetime Excellence in Research Award
In honor of his three decades of animal disease surveillance work, Dr. Mo Salman is the 2020 recipient of the American Veterinary Medical Association Public Service Award.
University distinguished professor George Seidel, whose service to animal science includes pioneering technologies that are widely used to improve the quality of livestock throughout the world, received the 2020 L.E. Casida Award.
Dr. David Twedt, Professor of Small Animal Internal Medicine at the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital, is the recipient of the 2020 American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Robert W. Kirk Award for Professional Excellence.

Rushika Perera was named an ACS Infectious Diseases Young Investigator. The national award recognizes outstanding young investigators in the infectious diseases field who are within ten years of their last training experience or at the Assistant Professor level.
