The Rocky Ford Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is adjusting available services due to a staffing shortage.

As of March 1, the Rocky Ford lab will not accept necropsy cases.

Alternative options include:

• Submit/Ship directly to CSU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in Fort Collins. View shipping information.
• Licensed veterinarians may perform necropsy/tissue collection, and fresh and fixed tissue samples may be submitted to the Fort Collins laboratory. The Fort Collins team is available for consultation on diagnostic testing and preferred specimens at (970) 297-1281 or dlab@colostate.edu.

Other testing services

The Rocky Ford lab may forward other diagnostic testing to the CSU Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory in Fort Collins on an as-needed basis. An effort will be made to follow published turnaround times, delays may occur due to shipping between Rocky Ford and Fort Collins laboratories.
