As a graduate from Colorado State University’s renowned veterinary school, Dr. Stewart brings more than 25 years of experience as a veterinarian, including work within shelters, nonprofits, emergency clinics, and even film sets as Netflix’s veterinarian.

After a a rapid test for canine parvovirus, Dr. Lindsey Dunn ordered a more sensitive diagnostic test based on a method known as polymerase chain reaction, or PCR, from the Colorado State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratories, which confirmed canine parvovirus.
Tatiana Rogers is a fresh new face in the world of veterinary medicine. She recently completed business school and received her Masters of Business Administration through CSU's dual degree program, and is working toward becoming a veterinarian from there.
CSU DVM alum Dr. Margot Vahrenwald and new AAHA president, earned a bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia and then a master’s degree in Communications at American University. In 2011, she opened Park Hill Veterinary Medical Center which is now a six-doctor small animal practice in northeast Denver.
In 2014, Carlos came to the United States for an externship in neurology and surgery at CSU. "I started to feel uncertain and began to let my dream go. Then, I met my mentor, Dr. Dan Smeak. He helped me believe my dream was achievable – not because it was easy but because I had the capabilities."
VandeWoude said her vision for the future of the college includes building replacements and renovations for a better environment for staff and students, as well as increased Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts for communities that have been underserved in STEM and veterinary medicine.
